This 2 day course offers knowledge on audit processes and gives an opportunity to perform an audit in one of the Bucharest labs. Basic-intermediate level

This course is intended for those starting in the field of biosafety and biosecurity, i.e. with less than two years’ experience. More experienced biosafety officers should not attend. It covers what you need to know about biosafety and biorisk management and where to find essential information. 

In this one day course the student will learn how to discard waste safely, according to validated procedures.  Basic - Intermediate level

A one day course on human and other parasites, special hazards and risk assessment. Intermediate level

This one day course focusses on the hazard in laboratories. Based on examples in the past prevention strategies will be discussed. Basic - Intermediate level

This course provides an enjoyable introduction to virology.  Basic level

This is a one day course about the specifics of aerosols. Intermediate - advanced level

Organized by the Belgian Biosafety Professionals (BBP) and the Dutch Association for Biosafety Officers (BVFp) Erasmus University Rotterdam, Netherlands Working with hazardous biological material or providing the necessary support to have people working safely with the hazardous material is our day-to-day job. For that, we are experienced in assessing the risk of contained use activities, to train our coworkers and to watch over a culture of biosafety.

The conference on April 19 and 20 2018 took place at the Maersk Tower of  the  Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences of the University of Copenhagen.
