  2. EBSA Thursday - European Plant Health Regulatory framework: Principles, Implementation and Obstacles

    This session will focus on the European Plant Health Regulatory framework which entered into force as of Dec 14, 2019. It modernized the plant health regime with the aim to protect the Union's territory and its plants, ensure safe trade, and mitigate the impacts of climate change on the health of our crops and forests. We will discuss implementation of the new rules in different EU member states, their impact on handling and importing plants and plant pathogens, as well as provide discussion opportunity on obstacles confronted by the EBSA members.
